I will be making a guest appearance with Skitzo Calypso this Friday.
This will be the first time we've perform P.S.L.A in five years.
Come out! It'll be a great time.
Check out www.rechertheatre.com and www.skitzocalypso.com for more details.

Here is the trailer to the movie I did earlier this year. I'm only in it for a split second (shortly before the 1 min mark). But hey, it's not about me. Look how good the movie looks for an indie film on a shoe string budget. ;)

This is "Sprout and the Bean", a song in which I play piano and sing vocals.

The other day, I posted some more songs, which you can hear on my music page.
There is a newer song, which is an instrumental version of "Desperate Leaders", a song I recorded guest keyboards with Skitzo Calypso.
The rest are older songs that were recorded a few years ago but weren't on my project playlist player. (By the way, the original version of "Desperate Leaders" is on the player as well. The CD it's on - "Burning Down An Empire" - is now out and available on iTunes).
I've recorded some new music (collaboration and solo) and they will be posted once they're ready.
The journal page has recently undergone a makeover. The best part is, no more annoying frames. If, for some reason, you're still seeing frames when you go to that page or the photos section, please refresh.
Thank you and I hope everyone has a fine 2009! =)

Here is "Desperate Leaders", a song I recorded over the summer with Skitzo Calypso. I am not back in the band; It's just a song I worked on with them.
The song was produced at Secret Sound Studios and recorded by John Grant. I'm playing keyboards, Brad Cox is on vocals/guitars, Michelle Cocca plays the violin, John Grant provided the cello sounds, and Tony Correlli brought the beats.

Today, I posted two songs on my myspace page (www.myspace.com/cherryteresamusic). One is "I Found Out". The other is a clip of the song "Ghost", which is not yet finished. This is mainly because the story is still to be written. I don't know exactly how the song is going to turn out because this situation in my life is still happening. But I felt like posting what I had done so far.
"I Found Out" was a song I wrote and
performed solo when I was a teenager. It is basically about how some
guys have unhealthy fetishes for Asian women. I recorded it a few weeks
ago but decided today that maybe I should share it, haha.

I just created a YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/CherryTeresaDotCom.
I've posted some video of the Built By Blood show at Fletcher's on October 1st and footage from when I was in Skitzo Calypso.
I'm not finished uploading everything, so you can keep checking my page for the next week or just subscribe to it.

Since I announced the Built By Blood show at Fletcher's Oct. 1st on MySpace last week, I've been getting a lot of questions from people. So I'll try to answer most of them. (Read yesterday's post on this blog if you don't know what I'm talking about).
I don't know the exact order of every band. But I do know that we go on first, so please get there at 8pm sharp. And I know Phantom Communique is headlining. And yes, this means that Brandon will be playing two sets with two different bands in the same night.
A lot of people are telling me they are confused on how a bassist, synth player, and singer can play a show as a threesome. Here's how: Keith also plays guitar. So Keith will be playing acoustic guitar, I will be playing piano/strings on my keyboards (not synth, not samples, not beats) and of course, Brandon will be singing.
This is not a brand new full-time band for any of us. This is a one-time show we're doing for fun. Each of us are busy being involved in other things right now.
For those of you who want to help promote this show, please check out this page.
I hope I've answered your questions. Thanks for your interest in this and if you have any questions that I haven't covered, feel free to contact me.

I am collaborating with Brandon Thomas and Keith Thompson in a project called Built By Blood.
Keith (bleed the dream, ex-.click.), Brandon (phantom communique, ex-bleed the dream, ex-margret heater), and I will be playing Fletcher's for 98 Rock's Noise in the Basement on October 1st with Phantom Communique, Zen Black, and Burn the Fields.
This will be a rare night to see different/intimate versions of some of your favorite Bleed the Dream songs. I know a lot of you have been wanting to see the reunion of Brandon and Keith, so here it is - one night only.

My medium-term goals:
A lot of people have been
asking me why I'm not in a band anymore or when I will start playing
out again. Since I'll be attending college while still working
full-time, I am focusing on taking school seriously and doing well.
This means I don't have sufficient time for a band. Anyone who knows me
realizes that I would rather do something as perfectly as possible or
just not do it at all. I'll probably do something band-wise after I
graduate and am settled into my new career. I know, this is no fun. But
once I have a good job career, I will have more stability to be in a band.
In the meantime, what I'm trying to accomplish is to save up money to buy a new computer/gear and record solo songs at home. I'm guessing I'll release new material sometime in 2008. I'll keep you posted as things progress. Thank you for your patience. :)

My journal section (through livejournal) is updated much more than this will be. This will be used just for more important/general updates, such as when I release new material and website changes.

CherryTeresa.com has a new look. I figured that since my life is going back to basics, maybe my website should. Yeah, I know I'm cheesy.
I wanted to make my site easier to navigate than the flash site. It's pretty simple. Not a lot of bells and whistles. Hope you enjoy it, though!
